Law360, New York (February 17, 2011, 2:38 PM ET) -- A federal judge has shot down IBM Corp.'s bid to stop the former head of its information technology unit from taking a similar post at Hewlett-Packard Co. Inc., ruling that Big Blue could not prove a potential competitive threat.
Judge Loretta A. Preska on Tuesday denied IBM's request for a 12-month preliminary injunction against Giovanni Visentin, following an exhaustive four-day hearing in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
