Law360, New York (April 06, 2011, 7:28 PM ET) -- An Iowa federal judge on Wednesday rejected Hitachi America Ltd.'s request to reconsider a November 2009 decision upholding a $9 million arbitration award against it, marking the company's second defeat in the power plant contract spat.
Judge Charles R. Wolle of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Iowa rejected Hitachi's arguments that he should review the previous decision because Hitachi recently obtained new documents from engineering firm Aker Kvaerner Songer Inc., its opponent in the litigation.
