Law360, New York (August 01, 2011, 9:13 PM ET) -- A production company sued HSN LLC, the owner of Home Shopping Network, in New York court Friday, accusing the TV retailer of breaking a contract by withholding royalties from the sale of products during a marketing event for the 2010 movie “Eat Pray Love.”
Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, through Hudson Valley Productions Inc., says she secured HSN exclusive rights to market products in a three-day themed sales event in connection with the release of the film, an adaptation of a New York Times best selling memoir.
