KBR Sued Over Military Subcontract Settlement

Law360, New York (August 05, 2011, 3:59 PM ET) -- A Kuwaiti construction company sued KBR Inc. in Virginia federal court Friday, accusing the ex-Halliburton Co. subsidiary of breaking an agreement to prosecute a $29 million claim on its behalf over a terminated military subcontract.

The dispute relates to KBR's 2003 subcontract with two companies, the Kuwait Co. For Process Plant Construction and Contracting and Morris Corp. — in a joint venture — to provide food services for the U.S. troops in Tikrit, Iraq, which the former Halliburton unit terminated that year.
