Law360, New York (November 09, 2011, 11:54 AM ET) -- Ohio voters on Tuesday decisively rejected a law that curtailed collective bargaining rights for public employees and barred them from striking.
Sixty-one percent of voters backed the repeal of the law, according to results from Ohio's secretary of state.
The bill, SB5, which was championed by Ohio Gov. John Kasich, was signed into law in early April in the wake of the passage of a similar, hotly debated bill in Wisconsin.
