RBC Bashes Bank's Effort To Grab $36M Loan Collateral

Law360, New York (April 06, 2012, 1:08 PM ET) -- A Royal Bank of Canada subsidiary on Wednesday asked a federal court to dismiss claims brought by its partner over a $36 million loan that went south and left the two lenders squabbling over what to do with nearly 200 acres of foreclosed property.

RBC Real Estate Finance Inc. was sued in February by First State Bank of Northwest Arkansas, which asked a judge to settle debate over a large patch of California real estate 40 miles north of Sacramento.
