Judge Tosses Wal-Mart Exec's $1.5M Suit

Law360, New York (August 23, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- Attorneys for a fired Wal-Mart executive whose lawsuit against the retail chain was dismissed this week will weigh the costs of a protracted battle with the deep-pocketed corporate giant before refiling the complaint.

The suit was tossed on Monday by a Michigan state court judge, who ruled Julie Ann Roehm's breach of contract case should be heard in Arkansas – the home of Wal-Mart's headquarters.

But Roehm's lawyer, Andrew Rifkin, said his client had yet to decide whether to pursue her case in the suggested venue...
