Law360, New York (May 15, 2012, 8:15 PM ET) -- A former Brocade Communications Systems Inc. employee asked a California federal judge on Monday to impose sanctions on the data storage company for allegedly forcing him to defend a groundless lawsuit for nearly two years.
David Cheung, who managed a software team for Brocade subsidiary Foundry Networks LLC, argued that the company and its attorneys failed to conduct a reasonable investigation of the facts before suing him for alleged misappropriation of trade secrets, and asked the judge to order Brocade to pay his attorneys' fees....
