Freddie Mac Sues Deutsche Bank Arm Over MBS Warranties

Law360, New York (May 31, 2012, 7:51 PM ET) -- Federal home loan giant Freddie Mac hit a subsidiary of Deutsche Bank AG with a new lawsuit in New York state court Tuesday,  accusing the unit of breaching the terms of its warranties for residential mortgage-backed securities by failing to buy back faulty loans.

Freddie Mac is seeking compensation and unspecified damages in New York Supreme Court after DB Structured Products allegedly failed to repurchase loans from a larger pool of securitized debts the mortgage lending agency said were covered under warranty, according to the summons...
