J&J Asks Court To Resurrect Claim Against Abbott

Law360, New York (September 17, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- Johnson & Johnson is asking a Manhattan court to reconsider the Aug. 29 ruling that torpedoed its sole claim against Abbott Laboratories in its $5.5 billion lawsuit over its failed bid to acquire Guidant Corp.

J&J filed a motion on Friday asking U.S. District Judge Gerard E. Lynch to resurrect its tortious interference claim against Abbott and Boston Scientific Corp. Boston Scientific ultimately purchased Guidant, and Abbott acquired Guidant's vascular business.
