Sheppard Mullin Says Kohl's Skipped Out On Legal Tab

Law360, New York (June 25, 2012, 10:49 PM ET) -- Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP on Monday sued Kohl’s Department Stores Inc. over a legal fees bill of more than $600,000 for its representation of the department store chain in a publicity rights dispute with actress and indie singer Zooey Deschanel.

In a complaint filed in California state court, Sheppard Mullin claimed that Kohl’s has paid only a little over $2,400. Kohl's disputed the law firm's calculation of the fees it owes, leaving more than $608,900 to be paid, excluding a 10 percent interest rate...
