4th Circ. Says CFAA Can't Be Used On Workers

Law360, New York (July 27, 2012, 10:01 PM ET) -- The Fourth Circuit on Thursday became the latest federal appeals court to weigh in on the scope of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, ruling that the law applies to hackers seeking proprietary information, not authorized employees who have breached their internal computer use policies.
