Accomplice In NY Hospital Kickback Scheme Denied Release

Law360, New York (August 27, 2012, 6:54 PM ET) -- A New York federal judge refused Monday to free the president of two asbestos abatement companies while he appeals his four-year prison sentence for his role in a kickback scheme to defraud New York Presbyterian Hospital.

U.S. District Judge George B. Daniels said that Moshe Buchnik hadn't clearly shown that he wasn't likely to flee or that his sentence would be overturned on appeal.
