GenCorp On Hook For Plant's Cleanup Costs, 6th Circ. Says

Law360, New York (September 11, 2012, 6:30 PM ET) -- The Sixth Circuit ruled Tuesday that GenCorp Inc. is liable for some environmental cleanup costs incurred by Textileather Corp. at a former vinyl manufacturing facility in Ohio, saying a purchase contract between the companies established GenCorp's liability.

A three-judge panel reversed a district court's ruling that GenCorp was not liable for damages under its contract with Textileather, but upheld the lower court's finding that GenCorp could not be held liable under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act.
