4th Circ. Lifts Sales Ban On Kolon's Body Armor For Now

Law360, New York (September 24, 2012, 9:35 PM ET) -- The Fourth Circuit on Friday agreed to a request by Kolon Industries Inc. to hold off on a lower court's 20-year ban on sales of its synthetic fiber body-armor products, pending Kolon's appeal of the ruling in its trade secrets fight with DuPont Co.

In a split decision, a three-judge panel for the Fourth Circuit granted Kolon’s motion to stay the permanent injunction handed down by U.S. District Judge Robert E. Payne of the Eastern District of Virginia, while Kolon pursues its appeal.
