Law360, New York (September 28, 2012, 7:49 PM ET) -- Dish Network Corp. cynically abandoned a 15-year high-definition television programming deal with Cablevision System Corp. and covered up its nefarious motives by destroying emails, a Cablevision attorney told a New York state jury during opening arguments in the $2.4 billion case Friday.
Orin Snyder of Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP, who represents Cablevision unit Voom HD Holdings LLC, told a six-member jury that his client lost out on $2.4 billion in licensing fees after Dish Network's EchoStar Satellite LLC pulled out of the 15-year agreement to...
