Financier Gets Out Of $50M 'Escape From Planet Earth' Suit

Law360, Los Angeles (February 06, 2013, 8:22 PM ET) -- A New York state judge on Tuesday dismissed a movie financier from a $50 million suit over The Weinstein Co. LLC's “Escape From Planet Earth,” saying the film's director hadn’t shown the company had interfered with a profit-allocation contract.
