Director Calls Monkey Business On CBS Over Film

Law360, New York (November 24, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- The director of a short documentary about capuchin monkeys trained to assist the disabled has sued CBS Corp., alleging that the network has broadcast portions of his film without permission.

Timothy Burke filed the suit Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, accusing CBS of multiple counts of copyright infringement and breach of contract.

While he sold a short portion of the film for use on the network's "60 Minutes II," other segments were broadcast by CBS without authorization, the suit claims....
