Notice to Counsel of Local Rule
NOTICE of Local Rule 1.11(e), which provides that, unless an order states another time, a seal under Rule 1.11 expires ninety days after a case is closed and all appeals are exhausted. To prevent the content of a sealed item from appearing on the docket after the seal expires, a party or interested non-party must move for relief before the seal expires. (Signed by Deputy Clerk). Order
ENDORSED ORDER re 9 Amended Complaint. The 9 Amended Complaint fails to include "a short and plain statement of the claim showing that the pleader is entitled to relief." Fed. R. Civ. P. 8(a)(2). Moreover, the 9 Amended Complaint "fail[s]... to give the defendants adequate notice of the claims against them and the grounds upon which each claim rests." Weiland v. Palm Beach Cnty. Sheriff's Off., 792 F.3d 1313, 1323 (11th Cir. 2015). Accordingly, because the 9 Amended Complaint violates the Local Rules and the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure in the same manner as the 1 Complaint, and the Court warned that a second violation of these rules would result in the dismissal of this case, this case is DISMISSED WITHOUT PREJUDICE. (See Doc. 4). The Clerk is DIRECTED to close the file. Signed by Judge Paul G. Byron on 8/26/2026. (GML) Modified on 8/26/2026 to edit the docket text (RPB).
