STATUS Report Joint Status Report by Christopher Howe
Minute
MINUTE entry before the Honorable Edmond E. Chang: The person who emailed the courtroom deputy, see R. 223, emailed the courtroom deputy again. The claimant reported that they had reached out to the Plaintiffs' counsel, who (according to the claimant) responded that the claimant missed the window to update the address and that it was out of their hands. The claimant is instructed that email communications with the courtroom deputy to seek relief is not correct procedure; rather, a motion must be filed. If the claimant wants to file motion, then the claimant must confer with counsel for the parties on the requested relief and then file the motion. The Court notes that if the claimant files a motion, there is a pro se online portal through which the motion can be uploaded (or the claimant may choose to mail the filing or file it in person). Further instructions on how to upload to the pro se portal can be found at https://www.ilnd.uscourts.gov/Pages.aspx?hFVuYQrT4MgavS30inXyB1g05z5eIN3M. The courtroom deputy is directed to forward a copy of the email to the Plaintiffs' counsel, copying defense counsel on the email. Emailed notice (mw, ) (Entered: 05/22/2026)
