Order ~Util - Set Motion and R&R Deadlines/Hearings
ORDER Expediting Briefing on 17 Plaintiff's Motion for Leave to File Amended Complaint. In Plaintiff's Motion, she states that the "parties stipulated that an Amended Complaint could be filed through May 1, 2024[,] as reflected in the scheduling order applicable to this case." Id. While the scheduling order reflects a deadline by which an amended complaint can be filed, it does not necessary mean that an opposing party is unopposed to any such amended pleading. For the clarity of the record, the Court imposes the following schedule: If Defendants do not oppose the Motion, they must notify the Magistrate Judge's chambers by email at ksd_schwartz_chambers@kds.uscourts.gov on or before May 6, 2024. If Defendants oppose the Motion, their response brief is due on or before May 8, 2024, and is limited to four double-spaced pages. Plaintiff's reply brief is due on or before May 10, 2024, and is limited to two double-spaced pages. Signed by Magistrate Judge Rachel E. Schwartz on 5/3/2024. (This is a TEXT ENTRY ONLY. There is no.pdf document associated with this entry.)(bh)
