Law360, New York (June 10, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- The average fee for sending a text message in the U.S. has doubled over the past two years despite massive increases in data capacity, Sen. Herb Kohl, D-Wis., said Tuesday at a hearing on competition in the cell phone carrier market.
But worries that the industry is becoming anti-competitive are unfounded, lawyers for two big cell phone carriers told lawmakers.
