EU To Consider Concessions In Pfizer, Wyeth Review

Law360, New York (June 30, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- The European Commission has extended the deadline for its review of Pfizer Inc.'s proposed $68 billion acquisition of Wyeth Inc. because Pfizer offered the regulator commitments related to the companies' animal health assets that could mitigate competition concerns.

The competition agency extended the deadline by 10 working days to July 20, which is standard practice for the EC when it receives such commitments, a spokeswoman said Tuesday.
