Law360, New York (July 10, 2009, 12:00 AM ET) -- Priceline.com Inc. has asked a federal judge to stay proceedings and dismiss false advertising and unfair competition claims in a lawsuit brought by rival Expedia Inc.
The Stamford, Conn.-based Priceline filed the motion for a brief two-week stay Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington, asking the court to allow Expedia's previously filed administrative proceeding with NAD to continue until a final decision is reached that will carry precedential effect throughout NAD's self-regulatory system.
