Singapore Airlines Loses Appeal Over Docs Order

Law360, New York (October 02, 2009, 11:45 AM ET) -- Singapore Airlines Pte Ltd. has lost a second attempt to contest the validity of Australian Competition and Consumer Commission notices demanding documents related to its ongoing probe of cartel activity in the air cargo industry, according to the agency.

The full bench of the Federal Court in Melbourne unanimously dismissed Singapore Airlines' appeal to the court's April order that threw out the carrier's application to challenge the competition regulator's authority to issue the compulsory investigation notices, the ACCC said Friday.
