Law360, New York (October 20, 2009, 6:27 PM ET) -- Freedom Medical Inc., a company that provides stopgap medical equipment rentals to health care providers, has sued several rivals for allegedly trying to monopolize the $450 million market.
Freedom filed a complaint against Premier Inc., Novation LLC, Universal Hospital Services Inc. and Hill-Rom Co. Inc. Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, alleging that the companies conspired to block competition in a growing market for medical equipment rentals.
