Law360, New York (October 21, 2009, 5:21 PM ET) -- Legislation that would end a decades-old antitrust exemption for health and medical malpractice insurers advanced in the U.S. House of Representatives Wednesday, with the committee considering the bill voting overwhelmingly to send the measure to the floor.
The House Judiciary Committee voted to report the Health Insurance Industry Antitrust Enforcement Act of 2009 to the full body by a 20-9 margin, with three Republicans supporting the proposal.
