Sens. Prod EU To End Oracle-Sun Probe

Law360, New York (November 24, 2009, 5:08 PM ET) -- A group of 59 U.S. senators is urging the European Commission to make a decision on the merger of technology firms Oracle Corp. and Sun Microsystems Inc., saying the delay threatens thousands of American jobs.

Led by Sens. John Kerry, D-Mass., and Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, the group expressed concern that the EC’s delay could force Sun to eliminate jobs as the company’s financial condition continues to deteriorate.
