Redbox Agrees To Delay DVD Rentals In Warner Deal

Law360, New York (February 16, 2010, 6:52 PM ET) -- Redbox Automated Retail LLC and Warner Home Video have settled a lawsuit that claimed Warner violated copyright and antitrust law when it announced a new policy requiring Redbox to wait 28 days before renting out new Warner DVD releases.

The companies said in a joint statement Tuesday that Redbox has agreed to the 28-day window. In exchange, Redbox will get Warner DVDs at lower costs and at sufficient quantities, and get more access to Blu-ray titles, they said.
