Ill. Medical Imaging Center Antitrust Suit Tossed

Law360, New York (February 18, 2010, 1:04 PM ET) -- A federal judge has thrown out a lawsuit filed by Mercatus Group LLC that accused a Chicago-area hospital of illegally monopolizing a market for medical imaging centers.

In an order handed down Tuesday, Judge Blanche M. Manning of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois granted summary judgment to defendant Lake Forest Hospital, agreeing that Mercatus could not prevail in federal antitrust claims.
