Brazil Aims To Boost Clarity Of Cartel Leniency Plan

Law360, New York (March 17, 2010, 5:46 PM ET) -- Brazil's minister of justice has issued a new regulation designed to increase transparency and predictability for cartel offenders seeking leniency under the country's competition law.

The ordinance, issued Monday, replaces previous rules governing the administration of Brazil's 1994 antitrust act and will take effect 30 days after its official publication Tuesday, Brazil's Council for Economic Defense said.
