Law360, New York (March 18, 2010, 2:46 PM ET) -- Britain's Office of Fair Trading wants the European Commission to investigate Procter & Gamble Co.'s proposed acquisition of Sara Lee Corp.'s air care business.
The OFT on Wednesday called on the European antitrust watchdog to probe whether the transaction would hurt competition in the U.K. and other EU member states.
The proposed acquisition “qualifies for investigation by a significant number of EU member states,” the British antitrust regulator said in a statement.
