17 More States Want In On Wyeth Medicaid Suits

Law360, New York (May 10, 2010, 3:41 PM ET) -- Seventeen more states are seeking to intervene in two consolidated whistleblower suits accusing Wyeth Inc. of overcharging state Medicaid programs hundreds of millions of dollars for the acid reflux treatment Protonix.

Attorneys general from the states filed motions to intervene in the suits Friday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. The suits are currently being litigated by the U.S. Department of Justice, the District of Columbia and 15 other states, but the 17 intervening states claim those parties cannot represent their interests....
