Law360, New York (January 22, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- The Spanish stock market regulator CNMV has heeded calls from Spanish energy and construction firm Acciona SA to probe Endesa SA and German utility E.On AG in an effort to identify possible collusion between the companies.
A spokesperson for CNMV said Monday that it has asked E.On and Endesa to provide information on their contacts ahead of E.On’s €36.5 billion takeover bid for the Spanish electricity company in response to Acciona’s complaint that Endesa provided E.On with privileged information, Dow Jones reported.
