Sasol To Shed Fertilizer Facilities In Antitrust Deal

Law360, New York (July 06, 2010, 5:31 PM ET) -- South Africa-based Sasol Chemical Industries Ltd. has agreed to restructure its fertilizer business in order to settle antitrust regulators' concerns that it abused its dominance in the market for ammonia and ammonia-based fertilizers.

Sasol and the South African Competition Commission said Monday that the company would divest five of its fertilizer blending facilities across the country and make other changes to settle the abuse portion of the case.
