Law360, New York (July 20, 2010, 6:38 PM ET) -- The U.S. Department of Transportation on Tuesday granted American Airlines Inc.'s request for an antitrust exemption for its Oneworld Alliance partnership with British Airways PLC and Iberia LAE SA.
The action finalized a tentative decision the department made in February and comes less than a week after the European Union granted the alliance immunity. Both approvals require certain conditions on travel between the U.S. and London.
