KitchenAid Wins Toss of Antitrust Suit For 2nd Time

Law360, New York (September 01, 2010, 5:07 PM ET) -- A federal judge has dismissed revamped claims that KitchenAid breached antitrust law by telling retailers that bowl-scraping attachments for its mixers that were sold by other companies would damage the appliance’s motor.

Judge G. Murray Snow of the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona in an order Tuesday rejected arguments by Pourfect LLC, a subsidiary of Arizona-based Dyce LLC, that KitchenAid's statements knocking bowl-scraping accessories violated the Sherman Act.
