Expedia, Priceline Settle False Advertising Spat

Law360, New York (September 07, 2010, 9:51 AM ET) -- Expedia Inc. and subsidiary Hotels.com LP have buried the hatchet with Priceline.com Inc., settling a suit accusing Priceline of engaging in unfair competition and false advertising by running ads claiming the travel site's prices are dramatically lower than Expedia's.

Judge Robert S. Lasnik of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington on Thursday dismissed the suit with prejudice. An Expedia representative confirmed that the companies had reached a confidential settlement.
