Bank VP 7th To Plead Guilty In Muni Bond Probe

Law360, New York (September 09, 2010, 6:33 PM ET) -- A former senior vice president at an unnamed national bank pled guilty Thursday to taking part in bid-rigging and fraud conspiracies related to contracts for investing municipal bond proceeds, marking the seventh plea deal to arise from a federal probe into the municipal bond industry.

Douglass Lee Campbell entered his guilty plea in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, the U.S. Department of Justice said, adding that Campbell had agreed to cooperate with the ongoing investigation.
