International Paper, Others Hit With Price-Fixing Action

Law360, New York (September 10, 2010, 6:53 PM ET) -- A floor care products company has filed a putative antitrust class action against International Paper Co. and a host of other containerboard manufacturers, alleging the purported competitors have been colluding to drive up prices in the industry since 2005.

Minnesota-based Kleen Products LLC filed a complaint in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois on Thursday, detailing claims of Sherman Act violations by nine companies that control 83 percent of the market in containerboard, the material from which cardboard boxes are made.
