SAS To Pay $14M To Settle Air Cargo MDL

Law360, New York (September 10, 2010, 7:24 PM ET) -- Scandinavian Airlines System and SAS Cargo Group AS have agreed to fork over $13.93 million to settle claims by plaintiffs in a broad-reaching multidistrict litigation alleging more than two dozen carriers conspired to fix shipping prices.

The settlement by SAS still needs the approval of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, according to a statement Friday by Kaplan Fox & Kilsheimer LLP, which serves as one of four co-lead counsel representing a class of direct purchasers in the case.
