KBR Tries To Boot FCA Kickback Suit

Law360, New York (October 04, 2010, 3:46 PM ET) -- KBR Inc. has asked a judge to dismiss a False Claims Act suit connected to kickbacks its employees allegedly took in connection with shipping subcontracts with the U.S. military in the Middle East.

The military contractor said in a motion filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas that allegations it violated the FCA and the Anti-Kickback Act should be tossed because the government failed to supply a factual link between the alleged improper kickbacks and a false claim for payment....
