Court Denies $45M Deal To End BD Class Action

Law360, New York (October 06, 2010, 7:36 PM ET) -- A federal judge has refused to sign off on a $45 million settlement between medical technology company Becton Dickinson & Co. and distributors who alleged the firm violated antitrust laws when it sold hypodermic products.

Becton Dickinson disclosed the setback Wednesday in a regulatory filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Judge Jose L. Linares of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey issued the order on Sept. 30.
