Microsoft Continues To Stir Ire In E.U.: Kroes

Law360, New York (March 22, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- European Commission Competition Commissioner Neelie Kroes reportedly told the European Parliament on Thursday that Microsoft continues to gain market share through abusive behavior, indicating that the software giant’s recent addition of its first European licensee has done little to appease regulators.

Kroes said she is worried because Microsoft is “constantly gaining market share” and because what she called its abusive behavior is gaining “positive results for the company – that's not acceptable in my opinion,” Reuters reported.
