Suit Alleges Hospital Monopoly Over Imaging Services

Law360, New York (April 16, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- A village in Illinois helped a local hospital muscle out would-be competitors in the diagnostic imaging services market by denying the plaintiff the approval necessary to build a physician center, according to a recently filed antitrust complaint.

The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois on Thursday on behalf of Mercatus Group LLC, names the Village of Lake Bluff, Lake Forest Hospital and three individuals as defendants.
