Premier Wins Bid To Arbitrate Rival's Antitrust Suit

Law360, New York (March 16, 2011, 3:45 PM ET) -- A Texas federal judge on Monday ordered Freedom Medical Inc. to arbitrate its claims that rival Premier Purchasing Partners LP conspired with others to monopolize the $450 million medical equipment rental industry.

Judge David Folsom of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas ruled that materials submitted by Freedom through Premier's online PASSport system contained a valid and enforceable dispute provision that bound the parties to arbitration of any controversy or dispute.
