Law360, New York (March 23, 2011, 4:58 PM ET) -- The Third Circuit on Wednesday upheld an 18-month prison sentence for former Morgan Crucible Co. PLC CEO Ian Norris, who was found guilty of conspiring to obstruct justice in a price-fixing investigation of the carbon products industry.
In an unpublished opinion, a three-judge panel for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit ruled that federal prosecutors had presented sufficient evidence to support Norris' conviction, and that the jury had received proper instructions before the seven-day trial.
