Korea Drops Antitrust Probe Of DRAM Makers

Law360, New York (April 26, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- The Korea Fair Trade Commission has reportedly dropped its investigation of four electronics companies accused of fixing prices for memory chips, saying there was insufficient evidence.

On Thursday, the KFTC disclosed that it was unable to determine whether Samsung Electronics Co., Hynix Semiconductor Inc., Micron Technology Inc. and Infineon Technologies AG had fixed prices for dynamic random access memory, or DRAM, chips, the Associated Press reported.
