Dean Foods Seeks To Decertify Milk MDL Classes

Law360, New York (April 01, 2011, 5:59 PM ET) -- Dean Foods Inc. asked a Tennessee federal judge on Thursday to decertify a pair of subclasses in a multidistrict antitrust litigation against the milk industry, saying that they can't adequately represent the interests of all the farmers involved.

The plaintiffs no longer have a class representative adequate to represent the interests of farmers who belong to Dairy Farmers of America Inc., Dean said in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee.
