Judge Won’t Stay Apple’s IP Claims Against Nokia

Law360, San Diego (June 01, 2011, 8:53 PM ET) -- A Delaware federal judge overseeing a patent and antitrust dispute between Nokia Corp. and Apple Inc. over wireless and other technologies on Wednesday denied Nokia’s bid to stay Apple’s patent allegations as well as Apple's attempts to trim Nokia’s claims.

U.S. District Judge Gregory M. Sleet shot down the plaintiff’s motion to put Apple’s patent counterclaims on hold pending a re-examination by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, finding that a stay would not serve the interests of judicial efficiency at this point in the litigation....
